Corrections policy

How RIKAZ handles mistakes: we correct them in public and explain what changed.

Principle

When we find a wrong fact, figure or percentage, we correct it and tell the reader, rather than deleting it silently.

How we correct

  • Substantive error: we fix the text and add a correction note at the top of the piece stating what changed and when.
  • Minor error (spelling or formatting): we fix it and update the “last updated” date without a note.
  • A piece that cannot be repaired: we withdraw it and state why.

Facts that change

Fees, licence statuses, trading hours and similar facts change over time. Where we show them, we show the date they were last verified, and we update them when we re-check the source. A newer official source always takes priority over an older page of ours.

Checking a claim yourself

Each piece lists its sources, so you can compare what we wrote against the original. Every reported error is checked against the primary source before anything is changed.
